PMKSY
Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sichayee Yogna (PMKSY) was launched on 1st July 2015.
The scheme was launched to provide irrigation facilities to water-scarred areas, increase cultivated areas. as well as introducing sustainable conservation.
The PMKSY is an umbrella scheme (different schemes/programs linked together to achieve a common Gole).
Component of PMKSY: -
AIBP (Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme) comes under the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation. The scheme provides loans for irrigation infrastructure.
HKKP (Har khet ko Pani): -
Subcomponents:
a. Command Area Development & Water Management (CADWM).
b. Surface Minor Irrigation (SMI) and Repair, Renovation and Restoration (RRR) of Water.
c. Ground Water (GW).
3. PDMC (Per Drop More Crop): -
It comes under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare
4. Watershed Development: -
Department of Land Resources
