With this project, we want to promote practical activities that allow our students to strengthen their environmental, civic and social skills, while improving their mental well-being. We want to empower them to be more aware of environmental issues and to take action in their communities to protect the environment. We also want to promote healthier attitudes, removing their "obsession" with digital technology, by promoting group activities outdoors.
We will hold an initial meeting exclusively for teacher training in the areas of Inclusion, Environment and Mental Health. With the strategies and methodologies acquired in this meeting, we will apply them in the following three meetings with the students, organising a set of practical activities that will empower them in the environmental, civic and social areas. Main activities will have a strong practical component: creation of concrete enviromental teaching materials.
There will be a specialised training for teachers in the areas of Inclusion, Environment and Mental Health and three students meetings to create environmental promotion materials and products: a green card game with pedagogical applicability; an environmental promotion video; an ebook. We´ll prepare a scientific study analysing the impact of green activities on improving the mental health of young people. Students' expressive, social and environmental skills will be strengthened.
