Mission 

The one day event is organized by RICe Research Lab at LUMS. The workshop unfolds new and exciting horizons of research in the field of Agricultural AI. We have speakers from Pakistan and Germany. Experts from the field of Agriculture, Food Security and Water Efficiency among Government, Industry and Academia are invited to share their work.

History

AGRARIAN is a series of events initiated with the 1st Pak-German AGRARIAN Workshop held in July 2024 in Offenburg, Germany.

The 2nd Pak-German AGRARIAN Workshop was held on 17 December 2024 in Lahore, Pakistan.

Planned Activities:

Following the concept from previous event, this event will cover a diverse range of related topics, such as agricultural AI, AI for food security, sustainable AI; radar applications in agriculture; and other issues associated with the development of autonomous robots. It will feature research presentations and invited talks by researchers in field of agricultural AI from universities and industry in Germany, Pakistan and beyond. It will also provide an opportunity for agricultural AI researchers in Pakistan and Germany to exchange ideas and develop new collaborations in this emerging area.

Target Audience

The target audience of the workshop are faculty, professionals and students of Pakistan and Germany. Universities have the capability of advancing the country in the field of Robotics and hence this sector is the primary focus of the workshop. One goal of the workshop is to display the output of universities to the industry so that the industry can also pick up projects from universities and convert them into products.
