Welcome! I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Naples Federico II, specializing in an interdisciplinary blend of statistics, machine learning, and economics. My academic journey is rooted in the pursuit of clarity and effectiveness within the rapidly evolving field of machine learning.

My primary research focus is on Explainable Machine Learning. As machine learning algorithms become increasingly integral to critical decision-making in sectors like finance and healthcare, the necessity for transparency is paramount. My work aims to make these powerful tools more understandable and accessible, particularly in areas where the stakes are high.

Additionally, I have a keen interest in decision-tree methods, appreciated for their simplicity and ease of comprehension by those without a statistical background. This approach aligns with my commitment to democratize complex analytical techniques.

My contributions to the field have been recognized in esteemed publications such as Computational Statistics and Machine Learning with Applications. Alongside a talented team of colleagues, I'm working also developing innovative open-source software packages for the R programming environment, which are available on GitHub.
