Marching Band and Color Guard

The marching band is the most visual aspect of the band program at AGHS. The marching band includes wind musicians, percussionists, and the color guard. The marching band performs in hometown parades, home football games, and travels to regional marching band competitions to compete against other high schools. Students who are a part of the marching band will become better musicians, learn proper marching techniques, how to play and march at the same time, and how to put together a dynamic and engaging field show.

2024-2025 Marching Band Performance at Oxnard 

BAND CAMP 2025-2026

Marching band begins before the school year starts with “band camp.” Band camp is imperative to a successful band because this is where we learn how to march and how to play the field show and pep band music. Attendance at band camp is mandatory for all students who sign up to be a part of marching band. During the school year the marching band will rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 6 PM after school. To join Marching Band and Color Guard complete this form: Band and Color Guard Contract 

Monday, July 28th  9 AM - 5 PM Freshman and Leadership

11 AM - 2 PM Uniform Fittings for ALL band members 

1 PM - 4 PM     Pit Rehearsal

Tuesday, July 29th - Friday, August 1st  9 AM - 6 PM - Full Band Rehearsal

Monday, August 4th 1 PM - 5 PM

Tuesday August 5th - Thursday, August 7th    9 AM - 6 PM - Full Band Rehearsal

Thursday, August 7th      6 PM - Performance at AGHS Football Stadium with potluck for family and friends

What you need for band camp - Hat, sunscreen, water bottle, athletic shoes, comfy clothes (no jeans), lunch, your instrument and music.
