Model of the celestial sphere. The central sphere is the earth with the outer rings showing altitude, azimuth, and the zodiac/months of the year. The piece is fabricated (made out of sheet metal and wire). The markings were done by hand with a jewelers saw or stamp (hence the slight wonkiness) although they are accurate to within a couple degrees.
