A: Yes - absolutely! When staking / redelegating, you can select Aghanism as your validator. Follow the FAQ below on how to restake, or go to the Newbie guide!
A: Yep. Use the recovery key, you can use it across platforms.
A: fxcored tx staking delegate <validatorAddress> <amountToBond> --from <delegatorKeyName> --gas auto --gas-adjustment 1.5 --gas-prices 4000000000000FX
A. Super easy! This instructions are for if you're staking for the first time - NOT redelegating (i.e. you're not already with another validator - this is new FX in your wallet). For guidance on redelegating scroll down this page!
Click on the "Delegate FX" button
Click on "Delegate"
Select Validators and Delegate Address
Select amount. IMPORTANT: I'd suggest leaving 0.5 FX in your wallet for future transaction fees. If you stake it all you won't be able to do anything! Then, hit Stake.
Click Next and Delegate button
Rejoice!
fxcored tx staking redelegate <srcValidatorAddress> <destValidatorAddress> <amountToRedelegate> --from <delegatorKeyName> --gas auto --gas-adjustment 1.5 --gas-prices <gasPrice>
A: No worries!
Load the Defi mobile app
Click on View My Delegations
Select the validator
Click Redelegate button and select new validator
Then delegate it!
A: Yep. Use the recovery key, you can use it across platforms.
A: I have two suggestions of what you should consider.
1) Sustainability. Running a validator is not free - it is resource intense and you can't run it on a spare raspberry pi at home with a USB stick. So, sure - someone out there is promising 0% for life, but can they sustain it?
2) Look at their max fees and commission max change figures. If you're seeing an operator with a 50% max fees and a 50% commission max change figure, they can move from 0% commission to 50% commission in seconds. Unless you're checking your stats regularly, you could end up losing a lot of interest. So, there's the peace of mind element here!
A: Don't go buying 200+ FX (minimum required) or swapping crypto. Just ping me on telegram / forum, I'm happy to transfer over a bit of gas to get you unstuck.
A: When you trigger redelegation for a specific amount, you have to wait 21 days to redelegate that fund again. You can also only have a maximum of 7 redelegations and unbondings in progress at any given moment in time.
A: Well. I can't exactly run away with all your money now, can I - this is blockchain! Plus, take a look at my self delegation - I'm in it myself. To put it even more simply, you're not trusting me - you're trusting the blockchain process, of which I'm just a contributor.
A: Err, not quite. Even if people put in £5000, and we settle at 20% interest, I only get £30 of the £1000 interest in a YEAR. That doesn't even cover electricity costs.
A: I believe in decentralising this platform. Plus I'm a geek and wanted to set up my own node! I love being part of this.
