Agent app, developed by Vidyadhar Hegde (“we”, “our” or “us”), is an offline workflow and record-management application intended for independent insurance professionals.
Agent app follows a local-first design. We do not operate a central server for storing customer records, policy information or imported commission-bill content.
1. Information handled by the App
The App may process information entered or selected by the user, including customer names, contact details, dates of birth, addresses, policy numbers, policy details, premium amounts, due dates, nominee information, notes, policy status, commission-bill PDFs, backups and exported files.
2. Local processing
Customer records, policy information and commission-bill PDF text are processed locally on the user’s device.
The App does not intentionally upload this information to servers operated by the developer.
3. Backups and exports
The App allows the user to create, export, share and restore backup files.
When the user saves or shares a backup through Google Drive, another cloud-storage provider, email, WhatsApp or another application, the operation is handled through Android’s document picker or share sheet. Those external services operate under their own privacy policies.
The developer does not have access to the user’s personal cloud-storage account or exported backup files.
4. Permissions and system access
The App may use Android’s document picker and share sheet to select commission-bill PDFs, select backup files for restoration, save or share backups and exports, and share policy details or reminder text through an application selected by the user.
5. Data retention and deletion
Records remain stored on the device until the user edits or deletes them, clears the App’s storage, uninstalls the App, or restores a different backup.
Copies exported by the user must be deleted separately from the location or external service where they were saved.
6. User responsibilities
The user is responsible for obtaining any required client permission or consent, maintaining accurate information, protecting the device and backup files, verifying commission-import results, and complying with applicable privacy, insurance and professional obligations.
7. Independent status
Agent app is an independent utility. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by or officially connected to the Life Insurance Corporation of India or any government authority.
8. Children
The App is intended for adult insurance professionals. It is not designed as a service directed to children.
Policyholder records may include a minor’s information when lawfully entered by an authorized insurance professional or guardian. Such information remains locally stored and controlled by the user.
9. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the App’s features or data-handling practices change. The updated date will be displayed at the beginning of the policy.
