Our Team

Kim-Vy Tran is the Associate Director for Internal Relations at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian. Her astronomy research program advances our knowledge of how galaxies assemble over cosmic time by capitalizing on the high resolution, extreme sensitivity, and broad wavelength coverage of ground and space-based telescopes.  Vy has been instrumental in leading multiple international collaborations including the ZFIRE, ZFOURGE, and MOSEL extragalactic surveys.

Professor Karl Glazebrook FAA is a Laureate Fellow and Distinguished Professor in Swinburne’s Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing (CAS). His research interests include observational cosmology, astronomical instrumentation/software and the formation and evolutionary history of galaxies. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Sciences (elected in 2017) and before receiving his Laureate Fellowship was Director of CAS (2014-2019).

Prof. Jones is an astronomer at the University of California, Davis.  His research is focused on understanding how galaxies form and evolve throughout the history of the universe, and the impact of galaxies on their surroundings. Most of Tucker's work is based on observations of distant galaxies collected with large telescopes, including the Hubble space telescope and the twin Keck telescopes on Mauna Kea.

Dr. Barone is an astrophysics postdoctoral researcher at Swinburne University of Technology and specialises in using strong gravitational lenses to investigate galaxy formation and evolution, with a particular focus on massive dead galaxies.
