For International Students (GKS Scholarship)

GKS (Global Korea Scholarship) Program

Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher education institutions in Korea, both undergraduate and graduate level. The scholarship aims to enhance international education exchange and strengthen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.

Graduate Program

Master’s Degree: 1 year Korean language training + 2 years degree program
Doctoral Degree: 1 year Korean language training + 3 years degree program

Eligibility for GKS Scholarship:

Must be a citizen of NIIED-designated countries (Koreans and dual citizens not eligible).
Under 40 years old (under 45 if academic professor from ODA country).
Must hold a Bachelor’s (for Master’s) or Master’s degree (for Ph.D.) by July 31 of the inviting year.
Applicants who graduated from a Korean high school or university cannot apply (except GKS scholars).
Must have CGPA ≥ 80% in previous degree.
