Resources for Renters, Homeowners, and Landlords
Rental Assistance: Rental assistance programs provide financial aid to help low-income persons rent apartments other than apartments in public housing developments.
Help With Housing Costs: Whether you are a renter struggling to make payments or facing eviction due to COVID-19, or a small landlord with tenants in crisis, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has resources available to help. Legal help and mediation are also available to help low-income tenants and small landlords avoid an eviction.
Emergency Housing Payment Assistance during Covid-19: Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program may provide up to 18 months of help with overdue and/or future rent (due on or after 3/13/20), as well as some help with utility costs. Applicants must have had a COVID-related financial hardship.
Emergency Rental Assistance Program: The Emergency Rental Assistance program makes funding available to assist households that are unable to pay rent or utilities.
