BEHAVIORAL HEALTH HELPLINE ( BHHL)
On January 3, 2023, the Commonwealth launched the new Behavioral Health Help Line (BHHL) and established 25 Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHCs). As part of the Roadmap for Behavioral Health Reform, these programs are increasing access to mental health and substance treatment for people across Massachusetts, and offer insurance-blind behavioral health crisis services to anyone in the state.
This NEW Help Line is the Commonwealth’s “front door” for behavioral health needs. It connects callers to the full range of treatment services for mental health and addiction support through the Commonwealth. It can help in real time with immediate crisis intervention, urgent, and routine needs. The Help Line is available 24/7/365 in 200+ languages.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NETWORK
MISSION
BHN’s mission is to help individuals, families and communities improve the quality of life for those with behavioral and developmental challenges.
All BHN programs offer support, guidance and tools that help individuals make positive, life-altering changes. Whether a person has intellectual or physical disabilities, struggles with drug or alcohol addiction, or is challenged by mental illness, BHN helps people develop more fulfilling lives.
Rick’s Place compassionately supports grieving children, teens, and their families through facilitated peer activities, school-based programs, and community outreach.
Our goal is to provide a trusting environment in which participants who are grieving the death of a loved one can share their experiences, receive support, and find comfort.
Rick’s Place's vision is for grieving children, teens, and families to be able to find comfort, develop resilience, and grow stronger together. CLICK FOR WEBSITE

AGAWAM HEAD START PRE- K PROGRAM

Phone: 413-654-1340
Did you know that Head Start has a family home visiting program? This program is for expectant parents and families with children from birth through three years of age. I can support you in making a referral, or you can visit the website (link enclosed) to find out more about it. This is an income-qualifying program.
Head Start at Home provides weekly home visits for expectant parents, pregnant women, and children birth to three.
Our highly-trained and experienced Home Visitors work with you and your family to:
Listen to your priorities, ideas, and concerns
Give support and information during pregnancy
Join you and your child for fun learning activities
Observe and learn about your child's development with you, and support your family through growth and change
It is for expecting parents or children under 3 years old which is a perfect opportunity for families to get their children into our program before they are old enough to attend our preschool classroom in Agawam which they have to be 2.9 years old for. They will also take priority to get into our classroom when they turn 2.9 if they are in this program already.
I have also attached a referral form, which gives families extra priority points if they have been referred to us.
