Geghetsik Afunts

Hi, I received my Ph.D. in Economics and Econometrics from CERGE-EI, a joint workplace of Charles University and the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and I am a Research Assistant at the  Research Centre of the Central Bank of the Federal Republic of Germany .

I was a Junior Researcher at CERGE-EI from 2018 to 2021.  Before that I spend 5 months at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University as a Visiting Scholar by the invitation of Jan Svejnar.

My area of research is mainly applied microeconomics,  empirical labor (mostly migration and education) and family economics .

My Ph.D. disseration chair is Štěpán Jurajda .
