This privacy policy explains how the AfterImage app handles information. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

AfterImage is a casual memory puzzle game published by Philos Emmanouilidis (individual developer).

2. What the app does not do

• No user accounts or login

• No profile, email signup, or social login inside the app

• We do not sell your personal data

• We do not run our own analytics server that stores your name or contact details

3. Information processed when you use AfterImage

3.1 Game progress (on your device)

The app stores progress locally on your device, for example:

• unlocked levels

• stars earned

• settings such as whether ads were removed

This data stays on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall. We do not receive a copy of your level progress on our own servers.

3.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

If you have not purchased “Remove Ads”, the app shows ads using Google AdMob.

Google may process data such as:

• advertising ID / device identifiers

• IP address

• approximate location derived from IP

• device and app information

• ad interaction data

This is used to show and measure ads. Processing is carried out by Google under their terms and privacy policy:

You can reset or limit the advertising ID in your Android settings (e.g. Reset advertising ID / opt out of ads personalization, depending on your Android version).

3.3 In-app purchases (Google Play)

If you buy Remove Ads, the purchase is handled by Google Play Billing.

Google processes payment data according to Google’s policies. We only receive confirmation that the purchase was made (so the app can remove ads). We do not receive your full credit card number.

3.4 Crash / diagnostics (optional, platform-level)

Your device or Google Play may collect basic diagnostics (e.g. crashes) according to your device and Google account settings. We do not operate a separate crash-reporting account beyond what Google Play provides by default.

4. How to delete your data (data deletion request)

AfterImage does not create user accounts and does not keep a central player database on our own servers.

You can delete or stop processing of data as follows:

1. Local game data on your device (levels, stars, Remove Ads unlock flag stored in the app):

   • Uninstall AfterImage, or

   • Android Settings → Apps → AfterImage → Storage → Clear data / Clear storage

2. Advertising / AdMob data handled by Google:

   • Reset or limit your advertising ID in Android settings

   • Review ad / privacy controls in your Google account

   • See Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

3. Purchases / Google Play:

   • Managed by Google Play / your Google account (refunds and purchase history follow Google’s processes)

4. Any other deletion request:
   Email philos.emmanouilidis@gmail.com with subject “AfterImage data deletion”.
   Tell us what you want deleted. We will respond and help with steps that are under our control.
   We typically respond within a few days. We do not retain a separate copy of your game progress on our servers, so most deletion is completed by clearing app data or adjusting Google/device settings as above.

5. Legal bases (GDPR, where applicable)

Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on:

• Art. 6(1)(b) — performance of a contract / providing the game and purchased features

• Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in showing ads in the free version and keeping the app running

• Consent — where required for personalized advertising (managed via Google / system settings)

6. Children

AfterImage is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us and we will help address it.

7. Data retention

• Local game progress: until you clear app storage or uninstall

• Ad / purchase data: retained by Google according to their policies

• We do not keep a separate user database for AfterImage players

8. Your rights (EEA / UK and similar regions)

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Germany, e.g. your state data protection authority / BfDI).

Because most processing is local or done by Google, many requests are handled via:

• clearing app data / uninstalling

• Android advertising controls

• your Google account / Play purchase settings

• emailing us as described in section 4

9. International transfers

Google may process data in the United States and other countries. Google provides information about safeguards in its privacy documentation.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

2. Was wir nicht tun

• Keine Nutzerkonten / kein Login in der App

• Kein Verkauf Ihrer personenbezogenen Daten

• Kein eigener Server, auf dem wir Ihren Namen oder Ihre Kontaktdaten speichern

3. Welche Daten verarbeitet werden

3.1 Spielstand (nur auf dem Gerät)

Die App speichert lokal z. B. freigeschaltete Level, Sterne und den Status „Werbung entfernt“. Diese Daten bleiben auf Ihrem Gerät.

3.2 Werbung (Google AdMob)

Ohne Kauf von „Remove Ads“ werden Anzeigen über Google AdMob angezeigt. Google kann dabei u. a. Werbe-ID, IP-Adresse, Geräte-/App-Informationen und Interaktionen mit Anzeigen verarbeiten.

In den Android-Einstellungen können Sie die Werbe-ID zurücksetzen bzw. personalisierte Werbung einschränken.

3.3 In-App-Käufe (Google Play)

Käufe (z. B. Remove Ads) laufen über Google Play. Zahlungsdaten verarbeitet Google; wir erhalten nur die Information, dass der Kauf erfolgt ist.

3.4 Diagnose

Google Play / Ihr Gerät können Absturz- oder Diagnosedaten gemäß Ihren Geräteeinstellungen erfassen.

4. Daten löschen (Löschanfrage)

AfterImage erstellt keine Nutzerkonten und speichert keine zentrale Spielerdatenbank auf eigenen Servern.

So können Sie Daten löschen bzw. die Verarbeitung beenden:

1. Lokale Spieldaten auf dem Gerät (Level, Sterne, Remove-Ads-Status in der App):

   • AfterImage deinstallieren oder

   • Android-Einstellungen → Apps → AfterImage → Speicher → Daten löschen

2. Werbe- / AdMob-Daten bei Google:

   • Werbe-ID in den Android-Einstellungen zurücksetzen oder einschränken

   • Datenschutz-/Anzeigeneinstellungen im Google-Konto prüfen

3. Käufe / Google Play:

   • Über Google Play bzw. Ihr Google-Konto (Rückerstattungen und Kaufverlauf nach Google-Regeln)

4. Weitere Löschanfragen:

   Wir antworten in der Regel innerhalb weniger Tage und helfen bei Schritten, die wir beeinflussen können.

5. Rechtsgrundlagen (DSGVO)

Soweit die DSGVO gilt: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b (Vertrag/Bereitstellung der App), Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f (berechtigtes Interesse an Werbung in der kostenlosen Version) sowie Einwilligung, soweit für personalisierte Werbung erforderlich.

6. Kinder

Die App richtet sich nicht speziell an Kinder unter 13 Jahren (bzw. dem jeweils geltenden Mindestalter).

7. Speicherdauer

Lokale Spieldaten bis zur Löschung der App-Daten / Deinstallation. Daten bei Google gemäß deren Vorgaben.

8. Ihre Rechte
