Duluth-Iron Range

African Heritage Community Summit

It's Coming!!!
October 23rd, 2021

The African Heritage Hub Committee will be hosting an event in Duluth and the Iron Range to begin the conversation around community healing and building. This is one of several events to engage community stakeholders in conversations to help build connections between generations, and mapping out ways to thrive in the Northland for African Hertiage people.

The event is free with "love" donations welcomed at the door or on our website to support ongoing programming.

Dr. Joy DeGruy will facilitate a simulcast half-day workshop exploring culturally-centered healing strategies for African Heritage communities and building "black safe-space" in Minnesota.

It will be a family friendly event, and dinner will be provided for registered particpants. The event will be virtual with limited in-person space available for the workshop simulcast.

Dinner will be catered for pickup at each location for registered particpants after the workshop has concluded.
