The Stories

Below you will find a selection of individual stories as separate PDFs. These are not all the stories in the book (you can find the complete books here). These are roughly half of all the stories contained in the books, and they are the stories that I think might be especially valuable for students to read and explore. If there is a story in a book that I have not included here, of course you can create your own PDF document for that story.

Each story PDF below includes the book cover and/or title page. I prepared the story PDF files in this way so that the source of the story is clearly indicated in the contents of the PDF file itself. I also included a link to the Internet Archive presentation of the story so that you can read the story with a single click. So, I would suggest reading the stories at the Archive and then, if you decide you want to use the story, you can download the PDF story file.

After you have collected your PDF story files, you can put them into a PDF packet or even a whole book-sized anthology of your own, including whatever additional documents (commentary, assignment instructions, additional resources) that you want to share with your students.
