Africa ELTA Leadership Mentoring Program

(2026-2027)

Africa ELTA is pleased to launch its leadership mentoring program to mentor selected African classroom teachers to become professional conference presenters. Building on the remarkable success of our original Female Leadership Mentoring Program, we are expanding the initiative to welcome both male and female mentees while broadening its focus to provide leadership mentoring for Africa ELTA members across the continent. Although the program is evolving, it will retain the mentoring structure that has been successful over the years, with a few enhancements to better reflect its expanded vision. 

The selected participants receive online mentoring from Africa ELTA mentors for 3 months. The mentors are males and females. This mentoring aims to equip the participants with the necessary skills to write conference proposals and present at international conferences in addition to receiving mentoring on leadership skills. Upon completion of the mentoring, successful mentees will be added to the Africa ELTA official list of webinars and past mentees group. By bringing these examples of successful classroom teachers to the forefront and mentoring them on presentation, public speaking and leadership skills, Africa ELTA aims to highlight the amazing work done by African classroom teachers and inspire others who may be intimidated to become professional conference presenters to share their stories.
