We hear about all sorts of mythological heroes, villains, and monsters, mostly of the humanoid variety. Have you ever wondered about their animal companions? More specifically of the canine sort? What do they do when their people are off on adventures? Do they have their own? What about the pups that don't have an owner, or our humanoid-canine divinities — what sort of shenanigans do they get involved in? More importantly, what happens when they pass from this world? We know what happens to most of the humanoid characters but not their "be-pawed" friends.
Well, I have the answer. You've heard that All Dogs Go to Heaven? They do... sort of. All dogs go to the Afterlife — some have always been here. When a mortal (or divine in some cases) canine passes they join us in the Dog Park of the Afterlife where they can play and sniff butts all day. In this Dog Park, furry friends from all walks of mythology romp and play together. Whether they are from our mortal world or the mythological worlds of Egyptian, Greek, or Aztec culture. One could even say this is an interdimensional doggy afterlife. Since this is no ordinary Dog Park, these puppy spirits speak to each other and tell "tails" of their time in the land of the living.
Not all of these dogs are necessarily the goodest of boys like we all would love to believe. Hopefully you will be able to hear tantalizing, yet sometimes tragic, tales from dogs of the Greek world. You may even be entertained by stories from the regal Egyptian canines. Perhaps you will be enthralled, or possibly frightened, by the events surrounding our resident "not-so-good boy," Xolotl of ancient Aztec origins. Sit back, relax, maybe grab a ball and some Milk Bones, and prepare to be delighted by the stories our furry friends have to tell.
