After reading and analyzing various fairy tales throughout the month of September and October, this unit cumilated into us writing our own fairy tale. This project, of course, had to follow the classic rules of fairy tales but also required us to put a personal spin, writing a story that somehow reflected our own character in the process. The guidelines for this project are linked to the right.
I decided to write about the generational trauma my mother and I experience through a "generational curse," hence the name. I hope you have as much fun reading my story as I had writing it! :)

Biblical Story
After discovering the stories and symbolism, our class became Folklorists and discovered individual biblical stories by ourselves. We only had 5 questions to specifically answer:
Which book & chapter? Summarize the story. Main characters.
What is the context of the story? (Is it a parable? Is there a moral?)
What is the main idea? Theme(s)? Big takeaways?
Does it still hold value in contemporary culture? How and why (whether if not or if so)?
Our team decided to analyze the Book of Exodus, which is the story of Moses!

Short Film
To end of the second and last semester of the Modern Mythology course, the 6 teams in our class were tasked with creating a monster and supply a 15 to 20 minute film to fully immerse our audience in a world haunted by our monster. The instructions for this project are shown on the right. Our group decided to make regret into a monster. As for the world, well... you'll just have to watch our film for that!
Various documents our group created to help form our monster, world and film are linked below. I hope you enjoy our film! :)
