To Schedule Training

The training facility is available to our public safety partners.  Cost sharing is an integral part in the maintenance and repair of the facility and its props.  To assist Avondale and Goodyear with these costs, a fee schedule has been established for those agencies outside of Avondale and Goodyear public safety departments that wish to use the training center.

Training Facility Use Rules

• Scheduling and reservations will be handled by contacting one of the chief officers listed above.

• Training activities reserved on the training calendar have priority.  Any concurrent training needs to be coordinated with the contact listed in the reservation.

• All fire-rescue training conducted at the facility shall be supervised by an instructor holding a minimum certification of Fire Instructor I as specified by the NFPA 1401 Standard for Fire Instructor Professional Qualifications. Personnel with Fire Instructor I certifications can be provided by the Parties, if needed, and at a fee as listed in the Fee Schedule.

• All live-fire training conducted at the Facility and in the Training Tower shall be conducted in strict compliance with the NFPA 1403 Standard for Live Fire Training Evolutions. All live fire training conducted at the Facility shall be supervised by an instructor holding a minimum certification of Fire Instructor I as specified by the NFPA 1401 Standard for Fire Instructor Professional Qualifications. Personnel with Fire Instructor I certifications can be provided by the Parties, if needed, and at a fee as listed in the Fee Schedule.

• Any scheduling and/or use of the Facility for emergency services training by non-Avondale or Goodyear agencies should be scheduled and approved by both chief officers from Avondale and Goodyear, or their designees.   Non-Party affiliated agencies must have all liability waiver documents properly signed, including the Facility Use Waiver and will be subject to any fees listed in the Fee Schedule below.

• All personnel not affiliated with Avondale or Goodyear public safety agencies and using the facility and its props must sign a Facility Use Waiver which should be forwarded to one of the representative chief officers listed above.
