Responsible usage of energy is very important. Using energy responsibly is important because almost 770 million people don't have access to electricity, according to the International Energy Agency, and even that number is at an all-time low, with around 1.1 billion people not having access to electricity in 2018. To use energy responsibly mainly means to not waste energy. Turning off lights when you leave a room or using natural lights (opening the blinds). By using less energy, it leaves more energy for other people that don't have access to or enough energy.
Renewable energy is a great way to save energy and use it responsibly! By using wind power, solar power, biomass, hydropower, and geothermal power, you are using fewer fossil fuels. Using fewer fossil fuels is good and responsible because you are releasing less greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere and using energy that can be used again and again because it will never run out.
Turn off lights when you leave a room
Open blinds (use natural light)
Turn off electronics and lights when you aren't using them
Use less hot water
Use LED lightbulbs
Ride a bike or get a carpool to school or work (if you can)
Reduce, reuse, and recycle
Use renewable energy!
