CREATIVE INDUSTRY & CAREER DEVELOPMENT
BRIDGING PASSION & PROFESSION
FTA651 is designed to prepare for the creative industry by providing direct exposure to real-world work environments. This course emphasizes work-based learning, allowing me to develop communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while gaining valuable industry insights.
For this semester, I am interning at Radius One Sdn Bhd, a well-established production house known for its cinematic TV dramas and innovative storytelling. This experience allows me to apply my classroom knowledge in a professional setting, contributing directly to projects while learning from industry experts.
During my internship at Radius One Sdn Bhd, I was placed in the Media Team, where my primary role was to capture, create, and connect bridging the gap between production and audience engagement. My responsibilities went beyond just documenting behind-the-scenes moments; I was actively involved in crafting content strategies, designing promotional materials, and even stepping into the Director’s Department to gain hands-on experience in script development.
MEDIA SOCIAL & ENGAGEMENT
As part of the Media Team, my role was to ensure that the audience stayed connected with the production process in real time. I:
📸 Captured behind-the-scenes (BTS) moments on set: candid interactions, key filming highlights, and the unseen magic of production.
📲 Managed and curated content for the company’s official TikTok account, posting engaging BTS videos, on-set sneak peeks, and cast interactions to attract viewers.
🎤 Planned and conducted interviews with actors, asking them insightful questions about the drama, their roles, and their experiences on set.
💬 Engaged with audiences on social media by reacting to comments and creating response-based content, making the interaction between the production and fans more personal and immersive.
📢 Strategized content to maximize engagement, ensuring that each post aligned with the drama’s promotional timeline and built anticipation.
This role was not just about social media management, it was about storytelling. By showcasing the human side of filmmaking, I was able to connect audiences with the drama on a deeper level. More importantly, it allowed me to build meaningful relationships with actors, crew members, and industry professionals who appreciated my work. Seeing actors enjoy the photos I captured was a huge motivation, it reinforced that my skills and creative eye were making an impact.

CREATIVE DESIGN & PROMO CONTENT
Beyond social media engagement, I was also involved in the visual storytelling aspect of marketing. My design work played a crucial role in the drama’s promotional strategy. I was responsible for:
🎭 Designing character posters to introduce the cast and build anticipation.
🎬 Creating video teasers and episode highlights to hype up upcoming scenes.
🎞 Editing daily clips and weekly teasers to keep audiences engaged between episodes.
📝 Crafting casting posters for new projects, ensuring they were visually appealing and informative.
📌 Developing social media visuals that aligned with the branding and theme of each production.
This work was crucial in establishing a strong digital presence for the drama, making it more visible, engaging, and shareable among viewers. It also allowed me to strengthen my design and editing skills, which are essential in the competitive creative industry.
