Mikel Ngueajio's research paper titled "Intrusion Detection Systems Using Support Vector Machines on the KDDCUP’99 and NSL-KDD Datasets. A Comprehensive Survey" was accepted for presentation at the intelligent systems 2022 (IntelliSys2022) conference (Virtual/Netherlands-Amsterdam) in September 2022.

First place winner at the Richard Tapia Innovation Challenge 2021
Mikel K. Ngueajio (ABL Member), Mary Nwosu, Jessica Whitaker, Naja Crump, and Tahj Chisolm recently won the first place Innovators award at the CMDIT Innovation Challenge. The winning prototype is an AI website that can be used to help mitigate the impact of Microagressions(MA) on Sickle cell patients. Users can share their experience of MAs (Either through videos or text) in the hands of health professionals, network with others, and create a community. see and learn more about the winning prototype here.

ABL Members: Surakshya Aryal, Taiwo Oriowo, Anu Soneye, Anu Upadhyaya, and Mikel Kengni recently won first place at the Computing Sciences in Colleges (CCSC) Eastern’s 37th Annual Regional Conference. The winning poster was titled "Predicting Racial & Gender Micro-aggressions Using Support Vector Machines (SVMs)".
