Deerfield's first completed project with Habitat for Humanities Community Toolbox Project.
Trained volunteers give their time to help neighbors in need by completing basic home repairs to promote the basic dignities of safety, health, and accessibility.
Our Fix-It program partners with local referring agencies who verify the financial need of potential clients and refer them to us. A comprehensive list of referring partners is listed below.
Home repairs will be focused on three areas—safety, health, and accessibility.
Please note that we can only work with homeowner-owned properties – sorry, no rentals!
Minor home repairs may include, but are not limited to, the following areas or functions:
Wheelchair ramps
Safety handles (grab bars)
Handrails or banisters
Small porches and stairs
Rotting floors
Storm windows and doors
Air sealing
Handicap Accessibility Improvements
