Senior Cafe provides a venue for regular social connection through meaningful conversation with other seniors. It is a weekly program in which seniors gather for guided discussion, informal conversation and refreshments.

Aging Out Loud (AOL ) offers moderated dialog on topics prioritized by seniors in our 2024 survey. The series will be on the first Sunday of January, February and March at the Town Hall from 1-3pm in collaboration with Philbrick-James Library. Check the Calendar for topic. Road by Road is an initiative of Age-Friendly Deerfield to bring neighborhoods together to better know each other and provide support and engagement as needed. Contact Judy Bush for more information about setting a group up in your area.
The Luncheon is held on the 2nd Thursday of every month, March through December (we skip Jan and Feb) at Noon at the Deerfield Community Church Great Room.

We are a local non-profit organization open to anyone with an interest in gardening. Our motto says it all, “Growing in knowledge and friendship while beautifying our town.” We take pleasure in nourishing the beauty of gardens throughout our town. The garden club is a wonderful opportunity to foster new friendships through gardening and related community events like plant sales, garden tours, Deerfield Fair exhibits and speaker events. If you like fostering nature’s beauty and don’t mind “garden hands”, we are the perfect fit for you! Engages in projects that improve our community while fostering friendships among the women of Deerfield. Sponsors an annual college scholarship for high school graduates living in Deerfield. Operates the snack bar at town elections, and participates in the town holiday fair with basket raffles. Welcomes, with gifts, new babies born into Deerfield families. Donates funds for community organizations and special projects that make Deerfield a great home town.

Our Purpose is to create reversible tied fleece blankets for those struggling with war, persecution, or other disasters. Their blankets have been recently sent to Ukraine and in the past to Western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene and to Liberty House, our rescue squad and family services.

OLLI at UNH is a vibrant, member-driven educational program designed for lifelong learners aged 50 and over. Our focus is on learning for the sheer enjoyment of it, within a supportive and relaxed environment. Here, you'll explore a wide range of ideas and interests alongside a community of peers—without any tests, grades, or college prerequisites!
Our volunteer committees create non-credit courses and social events based on member interests. We offer an array of events, trips, social activities, and volunteer opportunities to enrich your experience. Membership is region based.

Membership: Every person, in Deerfield and surrounding communities, who served in the armed forces and separated under honorable conditions. Meetings: 1st Friday of the month at 7 pm, main hall. Canteen: Thursday and Friday 6pm to 9 pm.
American Legion - Women’s Auxiliary
Purpose: To assist veterans any way we can and perform community service.
Membership: Must be the daughter, grand-daughter, spouse, or mother of a person who served in the armed forces and separated under honorable conditions or a member of the American Legion. Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm.
American Legion - Sons of the Legion Squadron
Purpose: Support the American Legion objectives and families of veterans. Membership: At least one parent or grandparent served in the Armed Forces and was/is eligible to be a member of the legion (they do not need to be a member of the legion) Meetings: 1st Tuesday of the month at 7pm, main hall.
The Ray-Fre Senior Center, 64 Main Street, Raymond is a membership-owned non-profit social club for age 55+ open Monday to Friday. Eight Deerfield residents are members including Joe Cote, Vice President. Membership is $25 / year. The weekly schedule includes bingo, billiards, cribbage, turkey shoot, bridge and whist, with Meals on Wheels lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are a warm and welcoming group.
