Our group is working on various aspects of algal biotechnology, including wastewater treatment, bioremediation, and multifarious biorefinery approach. We are working on an integrative approach for the treatment of wastewater, sequestration of carbon-dioxide along with the production of biotechnologically important products such as biofuels and bioplastic. The lab is also working on exploring the bioremediation potential of biosynthesized algal nanoparticles. Additionally, the lab is focused to develop decentralized technology for the treatment of grey-water, sewage water, and industrial water.
