Aerodance Heidelberg is a multidisciplinary movement studio for women of all ages, offering pole dance, aerial training, yoga, conditioning, and mobility in a supportive and professional environment.
Founded by international athlete and aerial artist Elizabeth “Ponque” Maal, Aerodance goes beyond traditional pole classes. Training at the studio focuses on strength, body awareness, sustainable progress, and individual development — whether you are new to movement or continuing an advanced practice.
Alongside group classes, Aerodance offers one-on-one sessions and community events centered around women’s health, lifestyle, nutrition, and well-being. Workshops, movement intensives, and occasional cooking and health-focused gatherings reflect a holistic approach to training that supports the whole person, not just technique.
Aerodance is an inclusive space built on respect, quality instruction, and community — a place to train seriously, move intelligently, and grow together.
FOUNDER & HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Elizabeth “Ponque” Maal is an international pole dance athlete, aerial artist, and movement educator with over 15 years of professional experience across South America and Europe.
Her background spans competitive pole dance, circus performance, yoga education, and studio ownership. Elizabeth has competed at the highest international level, including the Pole Dance World Cup and the Arnold Classic Pan American Pole World Cup, where she earned podium placements. Alongside competition, she has performed as an aerialist in professional circus productions in Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, working with disciplines such as pole, aerial silks, hoop, trapeze, and Chinese mast.
As an educator, Elizabeth has taught in gyms, dance academies, yoga studios, and aerial schools, and has led training programs for both beginners and advanced practitioners. She is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, with additional studies in anatomy, mobility, strength training, Ayurvedic principles, and movement-based conditioning. Her teaching approach combines technical precision, body awareness, and progressive strength development, always adapted to the individual student.
Elizabeth is also an experienced entrepreneur. She has founded and operated her own movement and aerial studios and has developed structured programs that prioritize safety, sustainable progress, and artistic expression.
With Aerodance Heidelberg, Elizabeth brings her international experience and high training standards to a focused, inclusive studio environment. Aerodance is dedicated to professional pole and aerial instruction, offering a space where students can build strength, confidence, and skill — whether they are stepping onto the pole for the first time or refining advanced technique.
