Privacy Policy for AegisVerity
Effective Date: April 5, 2026
1. Introduction AegisVerity ("we," "our," or "us") is a local mobile security and firewall application. We are committed to absolute data privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application operates on a Zero-Trust, local-only architecture.
2. Core Functionality & Data Handling AegisVerity does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal user data, network traffic, or usage logs to any external servers. All operations happen 100% locally on your device.
3. Use of VpnService AegisVerity utilizes Android's VpnService to function as a local traffic sinkhole (firewall).
AegisVerity Civilian Edition is a local network monitor and firewall tool. It requires the READ_PHONE_STATE permission solely for local network monitoring and operational stability. AegisVerity operates entirely locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, share, or store any personal user data or network traffic to any external servers.
No Remote Routing: Your network traffic is NEVER routed through or sent to any remote servers controlled by us or third parties.
Local Quarantine Only: The VpnService is strictly used to locally drop/block internet access for specific applications you or the system identify as malicious.
No Logging: We do not inspect, log, or monitor the contents of your web traffic.
4. Broad Package Visibility (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) We require the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission solely to populate the in-app "Whitelist Manager". This allows you to see the apps installed on your device and select which ones are immune from the local firewall quarantine. This inventory data never leaves your device.
5. Usage Access Usage Stats permission is used locally to detect background data spikes for anomaly detection. This data is not collected or transmitted off-device.
