About the Department
The Head of the Department of CSE is proud to speak about this department of Asansol Engineering College. The Department of CSE started its journey from 1998 with an intake of 40 students. The intake was increased to 60 in the year 1999. It was further increased to 90 in 2001 and to 120 in 2009. Since then the intake of the department is 120. The Department has dedicated teachers who are constantly endeavoring hard to educate and train students as per the demands of today's IT industry. The teachers are also encouraging students to take up projects in upcoming research areas to improve their knowledge in advanced topics. The department has produced many brilliant students over the years, who have bagged prestigious jobs in India and abroad. Some has even bagged jobs in research organizations such as IBM Research Lab, Microsoft Research Lab etc. Many students clear GATE exams every year and are going for higher studies and pursue M.Tech. in Institutions of repute. Some of our bright students are also pursuing M.S. in foreign Universities. The Department congratulates the brightest minds who have already initiated their own startup companies and wishes them good luck to become future leaders. Asansol Engineering College boasts of its excellent placement record over the years and the Department of CSE has been the leader in terms of placement.
