Melanie Jones is a musician and teacher. She has always loved playing the piano and started accompanying herself, her friends, and at church from around the age of 11, before becoming the accompanist for Bexley Junior Choir and Bromley Girls' Choir from the age of 13. After studying Music at the University of York for BA and an MA in performance, she took a 2 year PGDip in Piano Accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music. She was a Park Lane Group Young Artist 2014/15 and made debuts performing duo recitals at the Purcell Room, Sam Wanamaker Playhouse and Wigmore Hall.
She has taught the piano, musicianship and music theory at a number of institutions, and is currently based at a school for children aged 4-13 in London, mostly teaching the piano. She also works as a coach and accompanist privately and for music festivals.
