ADVENTURE ANGLING SOCIETY
Willow News
In the last two weeks we have had not one but two fish stockings. The first was Bream in the 2-3lb mark that made a welcome addition to the existing stocks. We know our larger Bream are breeding in Willow as we are starting to see numbers of small skimmers which have not been stocked. The second lot of fish that went in a week later are all Carp in the 3-5lb mark. These fish are absolutely stunning and we intend to keep them that way.
Surface fishing / floating baits will be banned with immediate effect. Rule 15 already states that floating baits should not be fed and there has been a total disregard to this rule from certain members. Fishing shallow is permitted provided the bait is below the waters surface. Anyone found breaking this rule will be banned from membership.
As a result of the damage to fish mouths we will also be removing the cages from the middle of the venue in the near future. We have many instances of tackle being caught up on the cages and causing damage to our fish stocks and other wildlife.
Cormorants.... We currently have large numbers of these birds on our venue that are depleting our fish stocks. Hopefully they should move on in the next few weeks but until then we have placed a life sized dummy in high Viz on platform 16. Please leave well alone, he may be in your favorite peg, however, no matter where he is placed he would be in somebody's favorite peg. We will move him around from time to time.
Please remember Willow is a mixed fishery and not a big carp water. If you think that Silver fish are a nuisance fish then I suggest you are on the wrong water. Please treat all our fish and wildlife with care and respect.

This is here for a purpose so leave well alone. We will be moving him around from time to time.
