1st Theoretical and Applied Advances in Motor Learning Symposium: Diversity, individualisation, and cognitive enhancement

from 2nd to 4th November 2022

at University of Twente, U-Park Hotel

A 2.5 day symposium of international keynotes & round-table discussions for all researchers, and teachers in the field of Motor Learning, Control and Skill Development.

This symposium is proudly supported by funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 898286.

Day 1

A exciting day of keynote talks and discussion about Individualisation in Motor Learning

Day 2

A day of talks, discussion and visitation to the University of Twente, Behavioural, Management & Social Sciences Lab about Cognition and Motor Learning

Day 3

The final half day of talks and round table discussion on Motor Learning research with Diverse Populations.

The goal of this symposium is to unite leaders, experts, researchers and students in the field of Motor Learning, Control and Skill Development to present and discuss work around current and future directions of motor learning research.
At the broader level, the topic of the symposium is concerned with challenges around diversity (age, disability etc.), individual motor learning capacity, cognitive functioning, and enhancement for the optimisation of motor learning.
Research using methodologies like EEG, fNIRS, TMS and motion capture to investigate these challenges are also featured at this symposium. This is a great opportunity for experts around the world who are passionate about motor learning research to unite and share your latest developments and network.
Distinguished international speakers like Prof. Rachel Siedler, Prof. David L. Wright as well as regional presenters like Dr. Rob van der Lubbe and Dr. Marit Ruitenberg are some of the confirmed symposium presenters. The symposium is in-person and we anticipate between 20 to 30 attendees.

An in-person live symposium held at the University of Twente that is centred around presentations, round-table discussions and breakthroughs in Motor Learning, Control and Skill Development research.
