About the Session
The new Google Cloud Advanced Computing Community will enable HPC, AI, and quantum computing professionals to keep up with the latest capabilities and advantages of using Google Cloud Platform to harness these advanced computing technologies. In this session, Google Director and CTO for HPC Bill Magro and Google Cloud Advanced Computing Strategist Jay Boisseau–long-time supercomputing professionals and community builders–will share how this community will be impactful and unique. Thought leaders and experts from Google, its technology partners, and leading HPC, AI, and quantum computing companies and organizations around the world will share the latest technology capabilities and techniques to help practitioners continuously increase expertise, innovation, and impact. This new community will leverage Google’s comprehensive, cloud-native productivity software to foster and facilitate effective collaboration, enable real-time creation and sharing of information/data/code, and offer interactive demos and hands-on examples.
The second part of this discussion will provide a look ahead at the topics and trends that practitioners need to know in 2025. The SC24 conference in November provides a great foundation of new information and technology announcements that will inform future Community sessions and experiences. Bob Sorensen of Hyperion Research will join Bill and Jay to summarize the most exciting topics and trends emerging from SC24 for the Community to cover in the months ahead, and how they will drive discovery and innovation.
