About the Session
Join Jay Boisseau, Advanced Computing Strategist; and Vladimir Vuskovic of Google Cloud, as they demonstrate how Google's powerful AI tools can dramatically increase ideation, innovation, and productivity in research, engineering, and business that uses HPC and other advanced computing technologies.
This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the Google AI tools portfolio, including foundational models like Gemini, the intelligent research and writing assistant NotebookLM, the development environment of AI Studio, the end-to-end machine learning platform Vertex AI, and the powerful agent orchestration hub Agentspace. Bill will then showcase compelling live demonstrations of how to leverage powerful AI agents, including the Deep Research agent for comprehensive information synthesis and the Idea Generation agent for rapidly developing novel concepts and hypotheses. Jay will also give an overview of the AI Co-Scientist and AlphaEvolve, Google latest technologies for empowering scientists and science applications. Jay Boisseau is an advanced computing strategist at Google, where he manages a strategic initiative to make Google Cloud the best platform for scientific/technical computing and leads the Google Cloud Advanced Computing Community. He is an experienced leader in HPC and advanced computing technologies, with 30 years of experience developing and leading programs in academia and industry. His previous experience includes founding and leading the Texas Advanced Computing Center to global prominence, and providing strategic planning and special projects in HPC at Dell Technologies. Jay also leads the Austin Forum on Technology & Society, founded the Austin AI Alliance, and is the lead founder and owner of Remedy bar in Austin (where he conducts lots of tech meetings and events so it aligns). He earned his doctorate from UT Austin in astronomy, which led him into supercomputing and technologies.
