Google Cloud offers supercomputing-class HPC and storage capabilities for the most demanding workloads, with flexible consumption models that optimize both costs and time-to-solution. Google Cloud also offers advanced AI models, research and coding tools, and scientific applications that accelerate innovation and discovery using HPC.
This half-day workshop has three sections. The first hour is for those new to Google Cloud (may be skipped by experienced GCP users) and will show attendees how to get started with using Google Cloud: understanding and setting up projects, using the cloud console, etc. The second hour will show how to choose the Google Cloud capabilities that best match different workloads, and how to use these capabilities most effectively by optimizing for time-to-insight, cost, and other constraints. The third hour will show how to use Google’s latest AI technologies to optimize scientific/technical work that uses Google Cloud HPC, including developing and optimizing code, and analyzing data.
Through a combination of presentations and demos, attendees will learn how to utilize all these technologies to maximize their productivity and transform their scientific research, engineering development, and business productivity.
