About the Session
As High Performance Computing (HPC) settles into the exascale era and begins to think about petascale, quantum computing is emerging and will become a critical accelerator for solving the world’s most complex scientific challenges. This session will demystify the current quantum landscape and explore why quantum integration is the next logical step in the evolution of HPC--and how NVIDIA technologies can help you evaluate quantum computing--and classical HPC + quantum computing--now to prepare you for that future.
NVIDIA's Sam Stanwyck will provide an in-depth look at NVIDIA’s strategic role in this transition, highlighting:
The Quantum-HPC Synergy: Understanding how quantum processing units (QPUs) complement classical supercomputing.
CUDA-Q Platform: An overview of the open-source, QPU-agnostic platform that enables seamless hybrid programming across CPUs, GPUs, and QPUs.
Future Outlook: A roadmap for hybrid classical-quantum workflows and their impact on computational sciences.
Speaker
Sam Stanwyck
Director of Quantum Product, NVIDIA
Sam Stanwyck is Director of Quantum Product at NVIDIA, responsible for product strategy, roadmaps, and partnerships. He joined NVIDIA in 2021 and has helped develop and launch products including CUDA-Q, NVQLink, cuQuantum, and cuPQC. Prior to NVIDIA he held engineering leadership roles in quantum at Rigetti Computing and Keysight Technologies. Sam received a Ph.D in Applied Physics from Stanford University.
