About the Workshop
Google Cloud has supported scientific and technical computing endeavors by research, developers, and engineers across industry, academic, and government labs for decades. With recent investments and achievements in HPC infrastructure and AI technologies, Google Cloud aims to be the most comprehensive, capable, and accessible platform for science research and for all of scientific/technical computing.
Join us at our Google Cloud Advanced Computing Community in-person event to learn more about our commitment to this mission, the new infrastructure and technologies that you can use, and how Google Cloud can enable scientific discovery, accelerate innovation, and increase productivity by your company or organization! We will have a mix of presentations, hand-on labs, panels, and networking time to share information, insights, and advice, and to forge new relationship and collaborations. You will meet Google leaders and experts, HPC and AI practitioners, and professionals in industry, academia, and government who want to elevate their expertise, advance their careers, and make their companies and organizations more innovative and effective.

Jay Boisseau
Advanced Computing Strategist, Google Cloud
Jay Boisseau is an advanced computing strategist at Google, where he manages a strategic initiative to make Google Cloud the best platform for scientific/technical computing and leads the Google Cloud Advanced Computing Community. He is an experienced leader in HPC and advanced computing technologies, with 30 years of experience developing and leading programs in academia and industry. His previous experience includes founding and leading the Texas Advanced Computing Center to global prominence, and providing strategic planning and special projects in HPC at Dell Technologies. Jay also leads the Austin Forum on Technology & Society, founded the Austin AI Alliance, and is the lead founder and owner of Remedy bar in Austin (where he conducts lots of tech meetings and events so it aligns). He earned his doctorate from UT Austin in astronomy, which led him into supercomputing and technologies.
John Fonner
Senior Product Manager, Google Cloud
As a member of the High Performance Computing group at Google, John Fonner is dedicated to making Google's planet-scale computing infrastructure the premier platform for public sector research. With nearly two decades of experience in scientific high-performance computing and a background in Biomedical Engineering, John has a proven track record of leading and contributing to large-scale cyberinfrastructure projects that broaden the reach of scientific resources and accelerate the pace of discovery. Prior to joining Google, John was the Director of Special Projects at the Texas Advanced Computing Center, where he led and contributed to numerous research and cyberinfrastructure projects funded by the NSF, NIH, DARPA, and others.
Adnan Khaleel
Outbound Product Manager, Google Cloud
Adnan Khaleel is driven by a single goal: making powerful technology accessible to a broader range of users. He works closely with engineering teams to translate customer needs into product strategy, ensuring that tools are intuitive and easy to consume. This passion has been a constant throughout his more than 20-year career at innovators like Intel, Dell, and Cray. He has always focused on creating new growth engines—from leading Dell’s HPC democratization strategy to pioneering Cray's entry into the AI and data analytics space.
Today at Google, his core mission is to scale these solutions globally by creating effective go-to-market strategies. While fostering a vibrant partner ecosystem is one important way he achieves this, his main focus is on empowering users directly. He is always happy to connect with anyone passionate about solving big problems in this space.
Annie Ma-Weaver
Group Product Manager, Google
Annie Ma-Weaver is the Group PM for HPC and works to build products and solutions to enable scientists, researchers and engineers to run HPC workloads on Google Cloud. She has been with Google for 15+ years in roles including Chief of Staff, Strategy and BD. Before Google, Annie conducted behavioral economics research at Columbia Business School, worked in investment banking in Hong Kong and consulted for the Scottish government. Annie received an MBA from the Haas School of Business and a BA in Economics and Psychology from Columbia University.
