Advanced Placement is a program through the College Board. The Taft teacher has been trained on how to facilitate a successful AP classroom. The student will work with their AP teacher on the skills that will be required of them to pass the AP exam. Our AP exams occur the first 2 weeks of May. The student is not required to take the exam, however; if the student wishes to possibly earn college credit for that class they must attempt and pass the AP exam. Throughout the school year, your AP teacher will provide mock exams/example questions/progress checks in order to help prepare the student for the AP exam.

Social Studies: Human Geography, World History, US History, Macroeconomics, US Government and Politics, Psychology

IMPORTANT FOR **COMM ARTS STUDENTS. FOR CLASSES TAKEN AT TAFT, EXAMS FEES NEED TO BE PAID ON THE TAFT AP EXAM FEES ICON SINCE THEY ARE NOT THE SAME ACCOUNT, BUT YOU CAN ADD AND PAY FOR AP EXAMS FOR BOTH CAMPUSES IN ONE TRANSACTION. **

-Click on the TAFT AP EXAM FEES to pay for Taft fees.

-Enter the amount you owe in the AMOUNT TO PAY box

**Each Exam is $40, unless you are free-reduced lunch then it is $20 per exam. If you are unsure how much to pay please email amber.mcwilliams@nisd.net

-Under STUDENT select your name

-Enter your email address

-Type in your teacher(s) names that you are taking the AP courses with

-Select your AP class(es) you have registered for

-Add your parent or guardian First & Last name

-Add your parent or guardian home or mobile number

-Hover on the shopping cart in the upper right hand side, click VIEW CART/CHECKOUT to verify that everything is correct.

-Enter your payment information & billing address

**There is a PROGRAM FEE of 3.25% added to your payment**

-You and Ms. McWilliams will receive an email confirming your payment.

• Exams for Comm Arts AP courses should be paid on the Communications Arts AP Exam Fees icon.

• Taft courses should be paid on the Taft AP Exam Fees icon. Please make sure you are on the correct icon.
