The purpose of this dashboard is to to establish a baseline number of adults that are served in Nashville’s adult education programs, and help us measure collective change toward a broader community goal.

This is a project of Nashville Public Library's Adult Literacy Program in collaboration with:

Definitions of Terms

Active Students

A student participating in instructional activities at least once in the reporting month

New Students

A student who completed an intake process in the reporting month; student has not attended classes at this agency before

Education/Personal Gains

A learner who has finished or reached a personal and/or program goal (includes: level gains, skill gain, life skill success, attendance/personal goal, class completion (active through length of class), test completion etc). Earning a diploma is 1 type of gain.

Wait List for ELL

Number of students that the agency was not able to serve in the last calendar month.
