August 12, 2019 - The Adult Education Foundation of Blount County celebrated volunteers and the community for support of its programs by hosting an ice cream social at the United Way of Blount County. Joe Gallagher was awarded the 2019 Volunteer of the Year in recognition of his years of service. Community members enjoyed ice cream from Chadwicks, and several expressed interest in joining the board of directors.
