About ADU
The Algebra Down Under (ADU) conference is a premier international event for mathematicians to converge, share groundbreaking advances, and build new collaborations in the diverse fields of algebra. Hosted at Western Sydney University from January 18–22, 2027, this conference serves as a vital meeting point for the global algebraic community.
The program will feature insightful plenary lectures by internationally recognized experts, invited talks highlighting key research, and contributed presentations from participants. Areas of interest include:
Non-commutative algebra and geometry
Universal algebra and discrete structures
Homological and categorical methods in algebra
K-theory and operator algebras
Applications of algebra in combinatorics, number theory, coding theory, and mathematical physics
Beyond the formal sessions, we are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for all participants. We are eager to encourage participation from mathematicians in developing countries, members of Aboriginal and Indigenous communities, women in mathematics, and individuals from other underrepresented groups to ensure a diverse and representative gathering.
In addition to lectures and talks, the conference will provide numerous opportunities for informal discussions and networking, fostering collaboration and strengthening the algebraic community worldwide.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sydney for a productive, inspiring, and inclusive event that celebrates the depth and breadth of algebra.
