One of the big challenge I have experienced myself so far is that most of the information out there is catered for engineers and web-designers, and most of it does not apply to economists, so I tried to summarize essentially what I would wish I had accessed to when I started. An important message for you if you are just getting started: don't let the mass of information out there overwhelm you! Most of it is irrelevant. You can get started with something very simple and slowly figure out what works for you.
