Academic Profile

I am an academic, writer and public speaker whose work explores culture, modernity, spirituality and contemporary social issues. My writing has appeared in major Australian outlets including the Australian Financial Review, The Australian and ABC Religion & Ethics, alongside publications in Eureka Street and Pearls and Irritations. I have also delivered public talks, including an Easter address at St Paul’s Cathedral for Melbourne Grammar, and have given interviews on ABC Radio National. 

My academic publications include a book, peer-reviewed journal articles and a book chapter. I teach at the University of Melbourne, where I recently received a Teaching Excellence Award, and also at La Trobe University. I am currently working on a book on culture, consciousness and artificial intelligence.
