On the left is your main tool menu. Some tools have additional ones linked if you click and hold on a tool with a small grey arrow in the corner.
On the top is your main menu, which shows you what projects you have open.
On the right is your extension toolbar, where you can adjust colors, properties, and your layers.
If you click "Window" in the top tool bar of your computer, you can control which items appear on your toolbar, and you can select a specific item you want to control.
For example, if you click on "Layers" it will take you to your layers tab in your extension toolbar.
The Layers tab on the extension toolbar is very important when you are making a complex project.
You can add layers by clicking the "+" button on the bottom of the tab.
Having individual layers for different components of your drawing allows you to organize your work into individual units.
This allows you to edit and view these layers separately.
You can click the "lock" button on a particular layer to ensure that it stays how it is while you are editing other ones, or you can turn that layer off completely by clicking the "eye".
The circle on the right side of the layer allows you to select everything within that layer by clicking on it.
Artboards are essentially just your worksheets, or pages in your project.
The "Artboards" tab is also in your extension menu on the right.
If you find while working on your project that you want to change the size of your page, click the icon on the right of the artboard you wish to change.
In this pop-up page you can adjust the size of the board, and also change the orientation.
Your properties are where you make adjustments to an object or line, regarding its color, thickness, color fill, and opacity.
When you select an object, your properties tab should look like this.
Right now, the line I have selected has no color or fill, and no line weight.
When I click the square next to "Stroke" and change it to black, I automatically get a line weight of 1 pt. This can be made thicker or thinner, and the color can be whatever you want.
For objects that have an inside, such as a square or circle, you can also change the fill to any color you want.
