If this is the iPad mentioned previously, not sure how you were able to view Flash content. If this is a different machine (e.g. Mac Book running macOS, not iOS), then see -player.html for links to enable Flash in the browser you are using.

iPadOS will load the "desktop" version of a website by default. If the server thinks you're on a "desktop" computer rather than a mobile device, it will want you to use Flash. Older versions of iOS running on iPads loaded the "mobile" versions of websites by default and so used non-flash video players.

I am totally confident that the Adobe Captivate team will be ready when Flash player is removed, have more concerns about companies realizing too late that old courses are no longer playing as expected. I hope you did read this article by Akshay Bharadwaj:

In the Captivate environment at this moment for normal projects, several Preview methods do use a temporary generated SWF. Probably in a near future this will no longer be the case. Already for responsive projects none of the Preview methods need Flash player, so you shouldn't worry about that. Publishing to exe or to interactive pdf needs Flash as well, have no idea if there will be a replacement or not.

Wanted to add another comment, because there is a lot of misunderstanding about 'Flash will be or is dead', which is not correct. Flash player will be EOL, but Flash itself is very much alive, probably the most important tool for gaming and interactive animtations. The name 'Flash Builder', because of the negative 'sound' since that fruilt company condemned it, has been replaced by Animate CC. You can create Flash output and HTML5 output with Animate CC. Look at this poster:

In reply to Elder's comment: "Removing the installer package won't remove the plugin", I just wanted to clarify that the pre-processing scripts of flashplugin-installer package, does remove the plugin, as long as you take care of marking it for Complete Removal or use "purge" action, as both the answers recommends.

Has anyone tested this yet? Here are some questions I have about this:

Does this block flash content from running in browsers? If not, how would I go about doing that?

Does this script need to be run on a continual basis? It seems like its based on the logged in user so it should run continually whenever a new user/different user is logged in? Maybe have it set to run "Once per user"?

Anyone have anything to report about their experiences with this?

With no Flash player installed, Apps like Safari will not run any Flash content. However Google Chrome has an inbuilt extension for running flash content, for us this is not turned on by default so Chrome will ask each time to run the extension. If you are running Google admin to manage your google accounts, you can use that to stop the extension from in there.

does anyone know if the rtroutron adobe flash player uninstall script is 100% silent? should the adobe flash player popup appear if a user is logged in at the time the script runs? logged in on another test laptop to see if this popup happens again .

Flash Player for Web is an emulator that runs your favorite flashes using Ruffle. One of the issue that I have which I didn't find any answer is Adobe flash player, I excluded the site from decryption but still after downloading the flash player exe upadte file I get "connection error" from the installation.

I make an exception for *.adobe.com because of this issue; but you could create a "log-all" URL-Filtering profile and attach that to a test machine and a test policy and see what URLs are actively being hit when you attempt this communication if you want to not utilize a wildcard.

Hi, I got in touch with Microsoft and the technician said that two years ago, Adobe announced the end of Flash to give developers time to switch to other technologies like HTML5. He also said the Flash player had now been removed from all Windows, Apple Mac, iOS, and Android devices and cannot be installed again. He said that if HP relied on the Flash Player, then it will no long work and that I should contact HP and ask them if they have produced a new version of their software that is compatible with Windows.

Chapter 2 - Flash Player environment: This chapter describes the different environments in which Flash Player runs, where Flash Player files are stored on the system, the processes that Flash Player generates, and information on determining which version of the player is installed on a system.

Chapter 3 - Player installation: The licensed installers for Flash Player are available in a number of forms. This chapter includes sections on EXE installation, Active Directory installation, SMS and Adobe Catalog installation, interactive MSI installation using SMS, Windows registry keys, DMG installation for Macintosh, customizing player behavior, and other topics.

I've found so many solutions on the internet all of which do not work (yay). So can someone explain to me one working solution to get the latest Adobe Flash Player on the firefox 39.0 of all my users, so they will be able to see flash? I'd rather do stuff in Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/browser than in everyone's Users/user1/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla.

Thanks in advance

When older content runs in a newer version of the player, and Flash Player needs you to make a decision about enforcing newer rules or not, you may see one of the following pop-up dialog boxes. These dialog boxes ask your permission before allowing the older SWF or FLV content to communicate with other locations on the Internet:

I get the same thing using Edge and/or IE11 on windows 10 creators update at home. And on windows 7 computers at work running IE11. About a week or two ago, last time I tried the live feeds on my computer, live feeds worked fine in both browsers on both computers. Now I get the pop-up in the middle of the live feed asking to allow or deny flash local storage. You cannot click on either button and the pop-up never goes away.

Edit: If your not comfortable with changing the flash setting to always allow, you can also leave the setting to ask permission, but then click on the "Local Storage Settings by Site" button > add > type in: arlo.netgear.com > add > set it's setting to Allow. Now flash will still ask permission for any site except arlo.netgear.com.

And while yes technically flash is a browser plugin, it still has a control panel applet that you can use to configure it. I suppose it possible a fresh install of win10 may not have this applet, not sure, I upgraded to win10 from win8.1, but every computer I checked so far has the flash applet.

As I mentioned, it's possible that win10 fresh install doesn't have the control panel applet, in which case install Firefox, then install flash for it. I believe that will get you the applet in control panel.

Yours has a yellow triangle too. Site must be having issues. My win10 and win7 both look the same, with the control panel Flash Player(32 bit) applet. When I get home I'll try and post another screen shot. If you don't have it, see my previous post about installing firefox, then flash for firefox, and see if that bgets you the applet. Or when I get some time I'll search and see if there is a command line or script way to chnage the flash storage settings. Might even be a regsitry key/value.

Your screen shot finally showed up. Um, I'm guessing you didn't actually read my earlier post where I said change the view to Large Icons....... when you go into control panel you have to click the drop down in the upper right called View By: and choose "Large Icons". If you have the flash player control panel applet it will then show up. Catagories view in control panel doesn't show anything but catagories, you have to choose Large Icons.

I thought that at first, but doubt it now. I had the problem on 4 different computers, 2 at work, 2 at home. I changed the flash setting on the work computers and problem went away. Came home, tried the live video on home computers, still same issue. This was less than 30 minutes ago. Made the flash change and problem is gone.

In fact, I can change the setting in the Flash Player Settings Manager from allow to ask on the fly and the live video will either work correctly or show the flash pop-up. I can do it right now at will. Not a coding error. A flash player setting.

Just to add some more info. I just did some more testing. I reset my win10 virtual machine back to the first day win10 was installed on the VM. I then used edge to go to the arlo camera website. Logged in, couldn't view video, turn flash on in edge settings, click on video and edge shows a popup asking if i want to allow flash to run, I click allow. (this is not the flash allow/deny storage box we've seen, this is an Edge dialog box). Once I click allow, arlo.netgear.com gets added to the flash storage exception list in the Flash Player Settings Manager and it's setting is set to "allow" automatically. What I noticed on my computers is that the "allow" setting was somehow changed to "ask permission". 0852c4b9a8
