I use the same on a 2015 Macbook and it's super slow. My computer runs hot while I have captivate open and Captivate is always listed as using signifiant amount of energy. I keep hoping for an update that helps. I almost wish I didn't update to the 2017 release right away.

I have used Articulate as well and it is a joy to use. the biggest difference is that it has never crashed on me. On the other hand, Captivate crashes regularly in every version ( I have used captivate since version 4). The only reason we are not using Articulate is that my office is Mac based and Articulate only runs on windows. If they ever develop a mac version, Captivate will be DEAD!

Disappointing although I have to say not altogether surprising that the Captivate team hasn't tested their product on M1 using Rosetta 2. I bought an M1 Mini that is not going to be the machine I use for Captivate. When it arrives I'll throw captivate on it and test it side by side with my work machine, an Intel MacBook Pro. I hope you're day is going well Adobe experts. I have created a captivate file using Captivate 5 and the software crashed and lost a days work (twice today). I know I should have been saving all along but I wasn't aware that there is no autosave (or is there? haven't been able to find that option). I found files in the Adobe Captivate Cashed Projects folder with the file extension .cpd in the uncompressed files folder. Also found audio.cpad, info.cpi, and text.cptd files in the Cashed Project folder. Are these the files I was working on and is there any way of restoring these types of file or using this information to retrieve my captivate? Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm desperate to get this work back.

We don't use a tracking system such as an LRS or similar as by now we don't need to. However, for some captivate activities we have created some variables that retrieves information about the performance of students and we retrieve them an use them as a feedback in a google sheet.

I don't know for certain that "captivate" is a recognized name for Adobe Captivate; I'm just guessing, and I don't have access to a suitable Mac to find out. If that doesn't work, you could probably use something very similar to what you had in your post: e24fc04721
