Metrology is vital in developing technology, industries, quality products, economy, trade, and sustainable society. The recent advancement in various fields such as precision engineering, communication methods, environmental engineering, healthcare & safety, clean energy generation, nano-metrologies have put pressing demands on­­ “National Metrology Institutes (NMIs)" for realization of the standards of physical and chemical measurements with highest level of accuracies and traceability to the International System(SI) of units.

The International Conference “Advances in Metrology (AdMet)" is one of the major scientific events organized in India once in three years, along with pre-conference workshops in selected fields of metrology. This is 12th international conference in the AdMet series of conferences which is the flagship event of the Metrology Society of India (MSI). CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL), a constituent of the “Council of Scientific & Industrial Research” (CSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, is the custodian of national standards (NMI of India) and has the mandate to realize, establish, up-grade, maintain and disseminate the measurement standards of physical quantities. Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), Mumbai, is Designated Institute for Ionizing Radiation (IR). IR plays key role in national growth through its immense applications in medical, food, agriculture, energy, security, etc.

The main objective of AdMet series is to provide a healthy platform for metrologists, technocrats, researchers and students of various NMIs, laboratories and institutions to participate and share their knowledge & experience in identified thrust R&D areas and foster collaborations with the fellow scientists from all over the world. AdMet-2025 will also feature an exhibition where latest metrological equipment, measurement systems and related accessories will be displayed for the benefits of the researchers which would provide an excellent opportunity for the manufacturers and service providers to show-case their products & services to build better customer relations. The organizing committee invites all the concerned researchers, metrologists, academicians, policy makers and exhibitors to submit their research work for presentation.

The AdMet-2025 will be organized in Goa, one of the tourist loved place in India, a modern metropolis famous for its historical monuments, architectural grandeur, beautiful beacheshas a rich culture that enchants and fascinates people of all religions and nationalities. The weather condition in Goa is evergreen during the proposed dates of AdMet-2025 would be pleasant for all.
