Ongoing Course
An introductory course on "Turbulence". The course is relevant to those who wish to pursue research in this area. This a pedagogical course and follows the book on "Turbulent Flows" by Stephen B Pope. A basic understanding of Fluid Mechanics is a prerequisite for this course.
If time permits, the course will also discuss a few review paper in the field of turbulent flows.
A course on Time-Frequency analysis using Fourier and wavelet transforms. The course included lectures, demonstrations, quizzes, and a self-learning project. The techniques of analysis using Fourier and wavelet transforms are not limited to time-varying signals and can also be applied to quantities varying in space. Thus, the subject of Time-Frequency analysis has a wide range of applications.
A short learning course is taken as part of PMRF teaching duties. The course covers the basics of turbulence, a description of the Navier-Stokes equation in the Fourier domain, a brief description of Kolmogorov's cascade, and an Introduction to Direct Numerical Simulation. Follow along sessions to access the turbulence data from an open-source database by John Hopkins and to use an open-source DNS/LES code called Xcompact3d. The course objective is to introduce B. Tech students throughout India to available open-source resources so that they won't be limited by the unavailability of resources to do quality research.
Some recent research work is also discussed and given as assignment to get the students initiated.

An introductory B. Tech level course on Fluid Dynamics. The course starts with the fundamentals: definition of a fluid, properties of a fluid, continuum hypothesis; and then discusses the Kinematics and Dynamics of fluid flows. The Navier-Stokes equation, Prandtl's boundary layer equation are discussed. Boundary Layer Transition Turbulent flows are discussed as well.
A short lecture series on DNS and LES

A lecture series taken at the Delhi Technological University. The attendants were B.Tech. (Mechanical) students aspiring to work in the field of Fluid Dynamics. This included introductory lectures on Turbulence, how to solve the Navier-Stokes equation computationally using Direct Numerical Simulation and Large Eddy Simulation. The concept of modelling was discussed and how the small scale make DNS computationally expensive and subsequently how an LES works around it by modelling the small scales in the flow
