The journey into geophysics has been as dynamic as the Earth itself, blending a passion for unraveling the planet’s secrets with the rigor of physics and mathematics. Along the way, there’s been a chance to tackle interdisciplinary challenges, connect with brilliant minds, and contribute to the evolving story of our understanding of the Earth’s systems.
Before arriving at the University of Wyoming, I actively participated in professional organizations like the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), where collaboration and innovation took center stage. These experiences have shaped a perspective that values teamwork as much as individual exploration.
Teaching and mentorship form another exciting dimension of this journey. There’s something uniquely rewarding about fostering curiosity and encouraging others to ask the big questions that drive scientific discovery.
Away from research, I am captivated by problem-solving and strategic thinking, whether it’s refining a computational model or tackling a new intellectual puzzle. This approach, rooted in curiosity and creativity, continues to shape my work and aspirations in geoscience.
