This Privacy Policy explains how the PDF Viewer app for Android ("the app", "we") handles information. Please read it carefully.
PDF files you open, scan, sign, edit, merge or protect are processed locally on your device.
We do not upload, collect, store or share your documents or their content.
Signatures you choose to save, your recent-files list, favorites, bookmarks, reading position and settings are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Camera – used only when you choose to scan a document, take a photo to add to a PDF, or scan a QR code or barcode. Photos are not sent anywhere by us.
Notifications – used only to show the optional "Quick tools" shortcut in your notification panel. You can turn it off at any time.
Internet / network state – used to show advertisements.
The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location and information about ad interactions, in order to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
Users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and can change their choice at any time from Settings → Privacy & ad settings in the app.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads / Privacy → Ads).

Document scanning, text recognition (extracting text from images) and QR/barcode scanning use Google ML Kit, which runs on your device through Google Play services. Your scans and images are not sent to us.
Passwords you enter to open or protect a PDF are used only on your device to unlock or encrypt that file. They are never stored by the app and never sent anywhere.
Bookmarks and the page where you stopped reading are saved only on your device. Notes you add to a document are saved inside the PDF file itself.
If you turn on Quick tools, the notification may show the name and a small preview of the last document you read. It is created on your device only, is hidden on the lock screen, and can be turned off at any time.
If Google backup is enabled on your device, the app's settings and lists (such as recent files and bookmarks) may be included in your personal device backup, which is managed by Google under your account. Your PDF files themselves are not part of the app's backup.
We (the developer) do not collect any personal information. We do not require an account or registration.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
